I woke up this morning, in mine 37. week of pregnancy and all I was thinking how can I help myself and my daughter to survive this crazy hot day.

I looked up at fridge, nothing interesting…

In Freezer I found frozen fruits, bananas, strawberries and pears..

I made easy cold breakfast, not ice cream but something really refreshing and nourishing.

frozen bananas and strawberries mixed in fruity bowlI blended fruits with almond milk, add some maca powder and it came out really good, tasty and refreshing…

Maca powder is superfood that is made of root Lepidium meyenii, vegetable very similar to radish.

Maca is packed with antioxidants, can stabilize hormones, your mood and energy level.

Also stabilize balance of estrogen, female sex hormone responsible for reproductive system. It’s highly recommended for women who are planning to become pregnant.

Add maca powder, blend well with fruits, milk and you will get creamy frozen “smoothie”.

I topped bowl with almonds, hemp seeds and Goji berries.

Almonds give you healthy fats, proteins and pottasium all really important for heart health.

Hemp seeds are good source of plant based proteins. They have very good ratio of omega 6 and omega 3 acids.

Goji berries are full of antioxidants and nutrients. Keep you mood and energy up, stabilize blood sugar and boost immune system.

This is not just bowl of mixed fruits. It’s really supportive food for your body and system and also very very tasty.

It has a smooth, creamy taste with crunchy topping.

Instructions
  1. Add frozen fruits in food processor and add little by little almond milk. Blend till you get thick creamy texture
  2. At the end add 1 Tbsp of maca powder and blend 1 min
  3. Pour in 2 bowls, add goji berries, almonds, hemp seeds on top and enjoy
  4. If you are not vegan, you can add some Greek yogurt instead of almond milk , it is also so good and creamy
